The Challenge
When prescribed AEDs are available only in capsule or pill form, HCPs and patients are often forced into work-around situations, like crushing pills, dissolving capsule contents, or obtaining a liquid formulation through a compounding pharmacy. Unfortunately, compounded drugs are not FDA approved.
Beyond convenience and quality for patients and caregivers, HCPs desire improved dosing and titration flexibility and the opportunity to tailor dose adjustments by patient circumstance.
